Aucuba japonica 'Sulphurea Marginata': Spotted laurel. Rounded with long pointed bright mid-green, yellow margined, leaves. If pollinated, will produce red berries from late summer. Fully hardy. 1.8m H x 1.8m.

Choisya ternata: Mexican orange blossom. Glossy, dark green leaves which consist of three smaller leaflets. Fragrant, star-shaped, white flowers in late spring and possibly also in late summer. Fully hardy. 1.8m H x 1.8m.
 
Viburnum davidii: Spreading and bushy with long, veined, dark green leaves. Clusters of white flowers in late spring, on female plants followed by blue fruits. Fully hardy. 1.5m H x 1.5m.  
Camellia japonica 'Elegans': Glossy dark green leaves. Branches weighted down with spectacular mid-spring flowering. Rose-pink flowers. Acidic soil. 1.8m H x 1.8m.

Elaeagnus x ebbingei 'Gilt Edge': Dense, rounded with leathery leaves which are dark green, margined golden yellow. Fully hardy. 1.8m H x 1.8m.  
Ilex x altaclerensis 'Golden King': A female holly which requires to be pollinated to produce berries. Has glossy dark non-prickly green leaves, margined bright creamy yellow. Fully hardy. 4m H x 2.5m.  
Skimmia japonica: Rounded and dense with glossy dark green leaves. White flowers open from rose-red buds in mid-spring, followed on female plants by red berries. Fully hardy. 1.5m H x 1.5m.  
Leucothoe fontanesiana 'Scarletta': Spreading and bushy with slender, pointed leaves - dark purple-red when young, turning green tinged bronze in winter. Acidic soil. Small white flowers in spring. Fully hardy. 1m H x 1.5m.

Pieris 'Forest Flame': Compact and upright with slender, pointed leaves - bright red when young, turning through pink to cream and then finally green. White, lily-of-the-valley like flowers in late spring. 1.5m H x 1.5m.
